visual language: script storyboard for animation



One format that showcases a sequence of movement and conveys a story is a storyboard script, here's an example of a Japanese script:  

as you can see above, this is a really interesting way to convey a sequence for a scene which we animators do all the time when creating story boards. anyway on the right page you can see a journey which takes you through different stages. on the left shows a single scene of a boy that appears to be in a classroom and the camera angles are changing to show the character at various angles which make the story interesting to look at and easy to follow the narrative of the scene.

We have to create these types of storyboards which can be considered a sequential art because it showcases a narrative which people follow when they view, similar to the Egyptian painting although at that time camera angles were not a thing and in the modern age we use camera angles to make a story look more interesting and give a wider view as to what is happening in the story.
